Ncell Axiata Limited before April 2016 was known as Ncell private limited. It is the first private mobile service provider from Nepal. Telia Company is its parent company. It was founded in 2004. However, commercially it service began a “ mero mobile” in September 2005. It later in 2010 was re-branded as Ncell. Its head office is in Kathmandu.
It was established later than NTC ( Nepal telecom). Yet it gives a great competition to them. Another service provider is Smart cell. Ncell is currently serving 16.3 million subscribers. Ncell has various Sim cards available. We can choose it according to our purpose;

Under Corporate Social Responsibility, Ncell has partnered with other foundations. They are the Ministry of education Science and technology and the Rato Bangala Foundation. An international conference on quality education was organized.

Apart from the above codes, there are other useful tips/codes for Ncell users which might be helpful as well.
Call Barring
Call Barring helps you to block incoming and outgoing calls. You can either block both or one. You can manage this in your phone’s setting, you can open it by dialing *330*0000#. Here you can activate or deactivate it.
MY 5 Service
With this service, Users can add 5 numbers of loved ones. And the call rate is cheaper i.e. 99 paisa per minute. You can subscribe by dialing 5599 and following the instructions given. The subscription cost for this service is 25.54 rupees/month. It is a recurring plan. If you want to try this only for a month dial 5588. And if you want to unsubscribe it dial 5599 or *5599# and press 6.
PRBT Tones
PRBT stands for Personal Ringback Tone. PRBT is the same as CRBT. We can add music of our choice. And also change the tone of covid awareness message. You can start it by dialing *17117# or 17117. We can also type “PRBT Tone code” and send it to 17117. If you Type R and send it to 17117 it deactivates.
International roaming
International Roaming allows customers to use sim even when traveling abroad. It activates by default except in India, China and Bangladesh. You can Manually Activate it by dialing *17129*1#.
Get PUK / PUC code
PUK stands for Personal unblocking key. And PUC is the same, standing for Personal unblocking Code. We use our sim for various purposes. Such as eSewa, Khalti, Fonepay, Online shopping, etc. so to avoid scammers we need PUK. We can get it by calling the customer service center. We need to provide the sim owner’s name and security code on the sim.
Activate or deactivate data
You can easily surf through the internet once you enable data. To activate or deactivated data type A and send to 900224. You can also dial 900 or *100#.
NCELL APP
Ncell app is free to use under Ncell network. You can easily log in with your mobile number. You can also log in to multiple numbers on the same mobile. You get various offers with this app. You get bonus SMS and offers. You can recharge online through mobile banking. Check the balance with one tap. Ncell Saathi app is also available for selling purposes. You can download this app from Playstore.
MAYA
They also have started a digital chatbot service named “Maya”. This assistant helps you to subscribe to data packages. We can also recharge from Visa/ Master Card. Maya also answers any questions you might have. Any questions regarding money, services, payment method are answered. you can assess it easily on your phone.
Biz + Plans
Ncell has brought a new Biz + plan. It is targeted at small and medium enterprises (SME). They cost around Rs 299 per month. And give CUG calls free within Ncell network inside the organization. we can call for free even during regular business hours.
Music Station:
Music station allows streaming music wherever you are. You can choose songs from any desired genre. You can pay according to the package you subscribe to. You can activate it by dialing 17140. You get to choose daily, weekly or monthly packages. You will need the DAC code mentioned to play your favorite song. You can get the DAC code of the song by dialing IVR shortcode 17140.
Expressify
This service allows customers to download and create stickers, wallpaper, etc. you can dial *17163# for activation and *17199# for deactivation.
They provide various offers on a timely basis. For example; Dashain offer, New year offer, etc. and if your sim is lost, the owner can block it by dialing 9005. The transaction can be done through a bank and smartphone.
Including various aspects, Ncell also plays a huge role in the educational field. It provides various Scholarships and runs various programs. It last organized a GSL program for the first time in Nepal. Students from Kathmandu University participated in this program. They also Promote Quality education.
