Nepal Idol is a Nepali reality singing show. it is one of the most popular Nepali Television shows. It is a part of the idols franchise owned by Fremantle media. There are 4 seasons of Nepal idol. This competition provides a platform for new singers. Nepal idol started on 19 April 2017.

It is aired on the AP1 TV channel. We can also it live on youtube. The official winner of the first season was Buddha Lama from Pokhara. In The second season, Ravi Oad bagged the award. The winner of the Third season was Sajja Chaulagain from Morang. She was the first Female that won this title. For Season 4 the digital audition was recently over.

Season 4 Audition Date & Venue

For Nepal Idol season 4 all judges were replaced. They are made to judge fairly. Judges need to have good taste in music. They were changed to Shambhujit Baskota, Sugam Pokharel, and Subani Moktan. The old judges were Nhyoo Bajracharya, Kali Prasad Devkota, and Indira Joshi. The participants and contestants have not yet been revealed. The application time was until Bhadra 31.

How to participate in Nepal idol:

If you are good at singing a song, you can participate in this show. They usually did Physical auditions in various cities. However, due to corona, the recent audition was done digitally. Here is how to participate in the Audition;

1. Install Apon app from play store
2. First Click on ‘Audition open’ and then on Nepal idol
3. Fill in your original information in the application form.
4. You will have to sing songs of two different genres and upload them on the form.
5. Then you have to select submit and your form is submitted.
6. Once it is submitted you will get a confirmation message.

Requirements for participation in Nepal Idol:

For eligibility, participants will need to belong to the age group of 16 to 30. Candidates can sing in the Nepali language or their native language. They have many languages to choose from. After you qualify from the audition you will have to face many other rounds. These rounds include the Theater round, Piano round, and gala round. Selected People from these rounds get to perform in the finale. The winner will be decided by voting done by the audience. The cost of registration is free.

Nepal Idol is a part of an international franchise, so it provides a great platform for singers. Indian, American Idol was released long before Nepal Idol.
