As a millennial in my 20s, Job hunting is always a bigger challenge. Recognizing the field of interest and making the effort to get that job is not very easy in this competitive market where you need to stand out in every aspect to be the chosen one. The recruitment process always starts with CV submission and the probability of being shortlisted depends on how strong and well-made your CV is. CV or resume is a brief description of your experiences, training, and your involvements so far. One major mistake we make in CV is that we focus a lot on our personal information’s and miss out the brief description of our work experiences, i.e: it’s better to list your name, address, E-mail and Phone Number in the personal section whereas as we start to list down or tabulate our work experience start mentioning from your latest to the past and list down what you have worked on during your working time period. For example,

- Manage the various in-house as well as external programs and projects of the organization.

Although this can be the other way round if your experience at work is very impressive or else your degree matters for the job you are applying for. For example, if you are to apply for Coordinator or Manager having a high degree education will be a plus point against the high-school graduates. The interviewer examines the candidates on the basis of their academics and work experience so it is necessary to be very careful and précised during mentioning this.
You can also mention the training and workshops you have been to so far. These involvements can show your dedication towards learning new things and ensure your active involvement. This can help to gain a point in front of your interviewer. If you can add a one-line objective regarding your job just to attract the attention of the interviewer. At the end of the Cv must have a reference. It is important who you mention in your reference as they are the ones who shall speak in favor of yours if the interviewer makes any cross-check regarding your work experience and a good word from the reference can grab a better chance at getting the job. It’s better to mention the head of the organization in your reference or at least the supervisor under whore direct direction you had worked in past.
The reference you mention should be well aware of you and your abilities and should be willing to talk about it to the respective inquirer. It’s nice to have 2-3 references if possible in your cv and along with their name you should also mention their position in the organization, phone number, E-mail address. i.e

Application/ Cover Letter.
Some companies or some positions require the application letter/ Cover letter along with a CV. An application letter is a written document addressed to the employer by the applicant where she/he explains why they are interested in the job or why they are the fit candidate for the job. An effective application can work in favor of the candidate as the interviewer gets drawn to the CV and if they are well impressed with how well you have mentioned your interest and how much of a strong candidate you are for the job they might be interested to meet you in person and discuss the stuff mentioned in it.
This can also help to describe your job experiences in detail and you can interpret your abilities more descriptively. Different sector seeks different application letters. It should be written as per the job demand, the position you are applying for and the work sector you are willing to work upon.
