How do I register to vote?
Voting is a means to be heard and to communicate your concerns to your elected authorities about issues that are important to you.
But if you don’t register to vote, you can’t cast a ballot! Where you reside determines when to register.
Why not register on Tuesday, September 20th, which is America’s National Voter Registration Day?
National Voter Registration Day, a nonpartisan, nationwide initiative to guarantee that every eligible American is registered to vote for the 2022 general election, counts United Way as a proud partner. On this day, United Way and numerous other groups fight to ensure fair representation by registering eligible voters. Numerous national corporations and nonprofit, nonpartisan advocacy groups have sponsored National Voter Registration Day every year since 2012 by working together to increase voter registration and public awareness of state-specific registration procedures, deadlines, and voting information.
Every eligible American should be encouraged to register to vote and cast a ballot. By using this freedom, we have the chance to create a democracy that is more robust, diverse, and inclusive. In our opinion, our democracy becomes stronger the more voices there are at the polls.
The goal of United Way is to see everyone on the globe reach their full potential through education, stable incomes, and healthy lifestyles. We work with corporate, public, and nonprofit partners to strengthen education, economic solutions, and health resources in 95% of U.S. communities by customizing solutions to match the needs and ambitions of each community we serve. Our goal, that of our organization, and that of our nation all depend on making sure that everyone’s voice is heard.
However, millions of Americans are prevented from casting a ballot in federal, state, or municipal elections every year because they forget to register, don’t maintain their registration, or are unsure of the registration process.
