Hairfall or hair loss is one of the major problems in people. Children, men, and women of all ages have this problem. 50-100 hair fall in a day is normal and natural. But the excessive hair fall may lead to permanent baldness. There can be many causes for hair fall.

 

Causes of Hairfall

  1. Hereditary

Hereditary is the major cause of hair fall. If your family has a history of hair fall then you will have hair fall too. Your hair starts to become thin and ultimately causes bald. It may be complete or partial baldness. Partial baldness causes patchy spots in your head.

 

  1. Hormonal changes

The change in hormones can cause hair fall. During Pregnancy, breastfeeding, menopause change can cause hair loss in women. Likewise, rapid weight loss can also cause hair fall.

 

  1. Diseases and Medications

Chemotherapy for the treatment of cancer and medications for depression, heart, and pressure problems can also cause hair loss. Smoking, Consuming drugs like marijuana, cocaine can also cause hair fall.

 

  1. Hair dye and hairstyles

If you dye or bleach your hair too much then you are going to have hair fall. Hairstyles like tight ponytails, braids can also cause hair loss. Straightening, curling your hair is going to damage and cause hair fall. Constant heating hairstyles can cause excessive hair loss.

 

  1. Stress

Taking stress or going through an emotional, imbalance phase also causes hair fall. But this hair fall is temporary.  And once you take care of yourself better then there is the possibility of regrowth of hair.

 

Symptoms of Hair loss

Seeing your hair everywhere is the major symptom of Hairfall. Be it in your bed, clothes, bathroom, belongings, or anywhere. You will notice excessive hair loss while brushing and combing your hair. So, your hairline becomes thin and weak, and your skin or scalp can be seen. Patches patterns in the front, sides, and center are visible.

 

Treatments of Hairfall

You can do various home remedies to grow and prevent hair loss. You can massage your scalp with oils like coconut, olive, pumpkin seed, and Essential oils. Have balanced diets that are rich in vitamins and protein. Drink lots of water. You can also apply ginger or garlic or onion paste. Green tea is also a good remedy. Avoid tight hair styling and hair coloring for your healthy hair growth. For further treatment, you should visit a dermatologist.

 

Prevention of hairfall

  • Treat your hair gently.
  • Avoid brushing wet hair
  • Do not bleach your hair too many times
  • Do not have hairstyles that can make your hair fall
  • Washing your hair with a mild shampoo
  • Avoid taking too much stress
  • Have a balanced diet and be hydrated
  • While having chemotherapy use a cooling cap to protect your hair
  • Visit the doctor for proper medications
